About Melinda "Pearl"

Malinda “Pearl” Futrell was born on August 16th, 1980, in a small town in Kentucky—arguably the greatest era—and is the Lead Behavioral Health Tech at Southeast Addiction in Nashville, TN, and a certified Peer Recovery Specialist. As a person in long-term recovery, with eight years clean and serene as of September 18th, 2025, Pearl’s passion lies in helping others on their journey to recovery. She understands the darkness of addiction, and strives to be the support she once needed for those walking through it now. In addition to her professional work, Pearl is a big animal lover, always ready to share interesting animal facts, and she has a quirky habit of smelling everything—even the stinky stuff! In her downtime, you’ll find her drawing stick figure love stories to brighten someone’s day. She loves what she does and is grateful to be a part of the recovery process, serving others with the same care and compassion that has helped her thrive.
